Landscape Design Process

When starting a new landscape project, you might be wondering about the process and what to expect, or if you even need a landscape designer. Here we will go over our 5 simple steps in our landscape design process. You can also watch the video below to see what it’s all about.

Step 1: Visit www.ralandscaping.com

Since you’re already here, check out some of our landscape designs, previous projects including our water features, landscape, and even our holiday decorations. You can get a good glimpse into what we have done for other clients. You can also visit our Houzz page, YouTube channel, and Facebook page to get more ideas. Once you’re ready head, over to our contact us page, fill in your contact information and upload some photos of the area your looking to complete. Then we will contact you for a brief phone conversation.

Step 2: Set Up Consultation

Once you are ready to move forward, we will st up a time to come out. We will walk around your property with you, talking mainly about what your goals are for the area and your overall budget. From here we will get all the information we need to start step 3.

Step 3: 3D Design Process

After we have gathered all the necessary information from you as well as taken photos and measurements of the area, we will start the actual design. We use 3D modeling software to show a realistic idea of what you can expect with your new design.

Step 4: Design Presentation

After our modeling is complete, we will set up a time to get together and go over the design concept. You will see realistic images, called renderings, of the area you’re looking to complete. We will also go over the proposal and see if there is anything you would like to see change.

Step 5: Schedule Project

Once you are satisfied with the overall design and proposal we will schedule the project. We take into consideration any calendar conflicts you may have and try to get your project scheduled within your desired time frame.  This is also when we do a pre-job walk through. This is where we come by and go over everything in detail with our crew foreman, from here your project is now under the supervision of our crew foreman, and construction will be underway!
