The possibilities that come with having a water feature are endless. If you already have a pond, you can easily enhance your water feature by adding a decorative or secondary water feature. Whether you are considering adding a water feature to your existing landscape, or you’re already the proud owner of a pond, we have complied a short list of our top water feature design ideas.
These spillway bowls are simple, elegant, and are perfect addition to any pond. They are also perfect for those that do not yet have a pond but want to get their feet wet with a water feature. Spillway bowls work wonderfully in areas with higher traffic, near an entry way or by the ‘entertaining area’. You will still get the soothing effects from these smaller water features, without taking up a large amount of space.
Pondless waterfalls are just that…a waterfall without the pond. This is one of our top water feature design ideas because they are also child friendly. Some families may get concerned having a pond with young children running around. But with a pondless water feature, there is no pond, so no need to worry about young children playing in or around a pondless water feature. In fact, pondless waterfalls are a HUGE hit with kids, good luck getting the kiddos inside for dinner!
It may be hard to imagine, but some ponds are built without a waterfall or a stream. Now some ponds may not have a stream but still have a waterfall. We build ponds that have the more ‘natural’ look, like it has been there all along. Water features that are built with this design in mind, by having a waterfall and a stream (or more), tend to have less maintenance issues, since there is always moving water (important for water quality and clarity).
If you are still in the ‘thinking about it’ process, take a look at some of our projects and some of our videos to help you really get an idea of what a water feature could do for you. If you’re ready for a new water feature or maybe your’s just needs a face lift, we’re ready to talk.
